# Job kinds and proxies

> Choose reCAPTCHA v3 or Enterprise, and send a job through your own proxy.

The `kind` field selects the reCAPTCHA product and the network route.

| Kind | Product | Proxy |
| - | - | - |
| `recap_v3` | reCAPTCHA v3 | Not used |
| `recap_v3_enterprise` | reCAPTCHA Enterprise | Not used |
| `recap_v3_proxy` | reCAPTCHA v3 | Required |
| `recap_v3_enterprise_proxy` | reCAPTCHA Enterprise | Required |

## Choose the product

Use the kind that matches the script on your page:

* The page loads `https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js` → use a `recap_v3` kind.
* The page loads `https://www.google.com/recaptcha/enterprise.js` → use a `recap_v3_enterprise` kind.

## Send a job through a proxy

With a `_proxy` kind, every request of the job goes through the proxy that you send in `proxy`. Use this when the token must come from a specific network.

```json theme={null}
{
  "kind": "recap_v3_proxy",
  "url": "https://www.example.com/login",
  "siteKey": "YOUR_SITE_KEY",
  "action": "login",
  "proxy": "203.0.113.7:8080:user:pass"
}
```

The `proxy` value is `IP:PORT:USER:PASS`, or `IP:PORT` for a proxy without credentials. The API never returns the proxy or its credentials.

The kind and the proxy must agree:

| You send | Result |
| - | - |
| A `_proxy` kind without `proxy` | `400` with `PROXY_REQUIRED` |
| Another kind with `proxy` | `400` with `PROXY_NOT_ALLOWED` |

## The action

`action` is the reCAPTCHA action that your page sends, such as `login` or `checkout`. Use 1 to 100 letters, digits, `_` or `/`. When you omit it, the API uses `submit`.

Send the same action that your server expects. The site's verification checks the action.
