# Limits

> Request size, rate, queue and time limits.

| Limit | Value | When you pass it |
| - | - | - |
| Request body | 1 MiB | `413` with `BODY_TOO_LARGE` |
| Submission rate | 60 `POST` requests per minute for the service | `429` with `RATE_LIMITED` |
| Waiting jobs | 1,000 jobs in the queue | `429` with `QUEUE_FULL` |
| Job duration | 120 seconds from submission, queue included | Job fails with `JOB_TIMEOUT` |
| Long poll `wait` | 0 to 30 seconds | `400` with `INVALID_REQUEST` |
| List `limit` | 1 to 200, default 50 | `400` with `INVALID_REQUEST` |
| Job retention | 5 minutes after the job finishes | `404` with `JOB_NOT_FOUND` |
| Token validity | About 2 minutes, see `expiresAt` | Google rejects the token |

The rate limit and the queue limit apply to the whole service, not to each API token. Only `POST` requests count toward the rate limit. Reading and listing jobs do not count.

These values can change. When you receive `429`, wait for the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` header.
